31DC2013 Day 28 - Inspired by a Flag

I haven't done the Icelandic flag before, don't know why, just didn't want to, but now I have and I think it will be a long while until I do that again.

The red cross on my middle finger is smudged, I'm saving my Seche Vite because It's almost finished and I have to order it online, but my OPI RapiDry sucks so much that I used Seche Vite on my other nails.

Feeling kinda uninspired these past few days, don't know why.

I took inspiration from an abstract painting done by Wassily Kandinsky who was a Russian expressionist painter.

I have this lovely colorful candle I've been wanting to copy the pattern of on my nails, it's not a complicated pattern, just colorful stripes.

Excuse the paint on my middle finger that won't come off.

31DC2013 Day 25 - Inspired by Fashion

Today's nail art is a disaster, it was done in a hurry and I was somewhat in a bad mood which did not help.

So on to the disaster!!

I saw a picture of a pair of shoes on pinterest which I tried to copy so disastrously, further research led me to this site Disco Toes, custom swarovski crystal decorated shoes.

Gorgeous!!

31DC2013 Day 24 - Inspired by a Book

I took my inspiration from a cover of a book named Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman.

He is one of my favorite authors, American Gods, Neverwhere and Stardust are a few of my favorite books, he has a wonderful imagination!

When I went through my bookcase looking for inspiration this one caught my eye, the cover is why I bought this book in the first place, I'm drawn to pretty books.

31DC2013 Day 23 - Inspired by a Movie

When I was younger my favorite scary movie was Nightmare on Elm Street.

Freddy Krueger was the scariest by far because not only did he use a razor hand to chop people, he also manipulated peoples thoughts, he made them fear him so he would become stronger, I was terrified.

So my manicure today is inspired by Freddy Krueger.

This was a tough one! I went and searched for a colorful music video and ended up choosing Last Friday Night by Katy Perry, it's really colorful.

So now the two first rounds of the challenge are complete, it's time for the third and the last one, Inspired By.. And today it's Inspired by a color.

I chose the color neon green. I'm obsessed with neon green polishes at the moment, I don't use them often because of all the challenges that take my time but sometimes I take them out just to look at them.

Phew, this was a fun one to do! I've never done galaxy nails before so this was a bit of a challenge.

The first three photos are taken in direct sunlight.

The next two are taken in natural light, no sun.
