31DC2013 Day 28 - Inspired by a Flag

I haven't done the Icelandic flag before, don't know why, just didn't want to, but now I have and I think it will be a long while until I do that again.

The red cross on my middle finger is smudged, I'm saving my Seche Vite because It's almost finished and I have to order it online, but my OPI RapiDry sucks so much that I used Seche Vite on my other nails.

I have this lovely colorful candle I've been wanting to copy the pattern of on my nails, it's not a complicated pattern, just colorful stripes.

Today's nail art is a disaster, it was done in a hurry and I was somewhat in a bad mood which did not help.

So on to the disaster!!

I saw a picture of a pair of shoes on pinterest which I tried to copy so disastrously, further research led me to this site Disco Toes, custom swarovski crystal decorated shoes.

Gorgeous!!

I took my inspiration from a cover of a book named Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman.

He is one of my favorite authors, American Gods, Neverwhere and Stardust are a few of my favorite books, he has a wonderful imagination!

When I went through my bookcase looking for inspiration this one caught my eye, the cover is why I bought this book in the first place, I'm drawn to pretty books.

When I was younger my favorite scary movie was Nightmare on Elm Street.

Freddy Krueger was the scariest by far because not only did he use a razor hand to chop people, he also manipulated peoples thoughts, he made them fear him so he would become stronger, I was terrified.

So my manicure today is inspired by Freddy Krueger.

Phew, this was a fun one to do! I've never done galaxy nails before so this was a bit of a challenge.

The first three photos are taken in direct sunlight.
