Haul, Instagram and other things

So many things have been going on lately so I've had to put the blog on hold for a while.
School has kept me busy as ever and work also so I've had little time for anything else but now
school is over, at least until next fall when I'll begin my last semester as I'll
graduate next Christmas. Can't wait!

Please click on the link and follow me there.

Last but not least; my haul!!
I met up with a friend in London where we spent a great weekend mostly in art galleries,
we also did a lot of sight seeing, walked around and drank a few beers ;)
From there we went to Sweden where she lives, I spent a few weeks there with her and her boyfriend,
needless to say, I had a lot of fun and picked up a few nail related things.

The items:
Lush - Lemony Flutter (finally got one)
Essie spa - Starter Scrub
Essie - Apricot Cuticle Oil
Crabtree and Evelyn hand lotions

The polishes:
China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise
China Glaze - Platinum Silver
China Glaze - Pink Voltage
OPI - Go With The Lava Flow
OPI - A-piers To Be Tan
OPI - Wharf! Wharf! Wharf!
Essie - Mint Candy Apple
Essie - Over The Edge

I bought a back-up of Essie's Mint Candy Apple in Sweden, it's my
favorite polish and the brand hasn't been available in Iceland but to my surprise that changed last week.
I see a lot of money spending in my near future.

Polishes are:
Essie - Bikini So Teeny
Essie - No More Film
Essie - Cute As A Button

That's it for now, I can't promise a steady stream of blog posts but I'll do my best,
you might see more from me on Facebook or Instagram so be sure to follow me there,
you can find the links on the bar to the right of this post.
Until next time.

Birthday kitties!

My birthday is today and if I remember correctly I turn 28 today ;)
Had the most awesome surprise birthday dinner yesterday which my amazing friends planned for me and today I'm just taking it easy.

For my b-day manicure I wanted to recreate last years b-day manicure, pink cats. :)
I loved it so much last year and I also wanted to see if my free hand nail art skills have improved.
Here you can see my last year birthday kitty mani.

Happy New Year!!

Happy new year everyone, hope the new year is treating you well.

I was planning on taking part in a challenge this month but I'm not sure I'll follow through on that, the plan was to use Christmas vacation to brainstorm and maybe do a few designs in advance for the challenge but that didn't happen.

But here is my new years mani.
The photos are a little iffy, had to use flash to get the sparkles to show.

Polishes used:
Color Club - Harp On It
OPI - My Voice Is A Little Norse
OPI - All the sheer tints

Tutti Frutti Candy Cane Stripes

No work today, there's a blizzard going on and I'm stuck home, not even going to try to swim through the snow to my car, which is also snowed in deep.
I thought I would use the opportunity and practice my freehand lines, I bought a ton of nail art brushes from Borne Pretty Store a while ago and I've been dying to use them.

I take all my pictures in natural light and because of the gloomy weather the pics aren't that great today but I still want to show you guys my candy cane stripes.

Polishes used:
OPI - Kiss Me I'm Brazilian
Orly - Blue Collar
OPI - Red Hot Rio

Oh and thanks for all the lovely comments, I read every one and for the most part always answer back but I realized today that the new layout won't let me reply to your comments, I'm pretty bummed out by that and I probably have to change that soon and after all the work I put into this it feels crappy...
Just thought I'd let you know why I'm not answering your comments.

A VERY late Halloween post - Comic Book Nails and my Costume

There, I did it again, no blog post since October. I've been extremely busy with school, work and just life in general and I haven't been able to paint my nails so the state they're in right now isn't pretty.

I went as a comic book girl on Halloween and of course I had to do my nails as well.

Polishes used:
OPI - La Paz-itively Hot
OPI - Who Are You Calling Bossy?!?
OPI - Alpine Snow

 Bonus picture of them glossy.

And lastly my comic book girl costume, very home made, did the sign myself and used acrylic paint to paint my face, after many tries with many different materials the paint was the only thing that would stick. Used he round eraser at the tip of a pencil to do the white dots and did everything else with a small paint brush.
