31DC2014 Day 27 - Inspired By Artwork

Dots are my favorite kind of nail art, it's easy to do, doesn't take a lot of time and it always comes out looking good.

Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese pop artist who is most famous for her obsession with dots, coincidentally she is one of my favorite artist. Some say her art is shallow and repetitive but I disagree, I think she is showing us her soul, showing the world her twisted imagination, how hard it must be to have spots on your mind all the time. I think she is in an institution for people with mental illness now because she would work on her art until she collapsed - that's a strong obsession.

Here's my inspiration, she calls this pumpkin her alter-ego.

Polishes used:

Textured Dotticure

Now when the September challenge is over I feel kind of lost, nail art wise, I'm not sure what to do next, so many techniques I can try but I don't know where to start.

So for now I did something very simple, something I go to a lot when I want to do some nail art that isn't too time consuming and doesn't need a lot of attention.

Polishes used:
Cult Nails - Deal With It
OPI - Magazine Cover Mouse
OPI - Alcatraz... Rocks

My nails have grown quite a bit over the last month. It was really difficult to get them longer than past the tip of my fingers, they would crack and peel like crazy. I was getting so frustrated with it so I decided to try the Nail Envy strengthener from OPI and it has done wonders, now they are so long and I've have to adjust to the length, it's weird but I love it!! ;)

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 24 - Inspired by a Tutorial

I decided to try out this tutorial from Pack A Punch Polish.

Polishes used:
Green finger: Essie - Mint Candy Apple, E.L.F. - Teal Blue, Alessandro Ice Cream Bar - Lime Vanilla, Maybelline Color Show - Urban Turquoise.
Yellow finger: E.L.F. - Yellow, BK Polish nr. 02, OPI - Need Sunglasses?, Alessandro - Yummy Yellow.
Pink finger: OPI - Mod About You, Nabi - Neon Light Pink, Sally Hansen Xtreme wear - Coral Reef, Unnamed pink in a skull shaped bottle.
Purple finger: Essie - Lilacism, Essie - Play Date, Depend nr. 202, Unnamed Alessandro.
Thumb: Alessandro - Cashmere Touch, H&M - Clay, H&M - Turqouise.

I got too impatient with the pink dots and put a topcoat on before it had dried, hence the smearing.
