Step Into Summer Challenge - Inspired by a Bathing Suit

Inspired by my bikini, it's bright pink with white polka dots!

Polishes used: OPI - Alpine Snow and a pink polish in a skull shaped bottle, doesn't have any name.

I've been meaning for a long time to do nail art inspired by my bathing suit so when I saw it in the challenge I gladly went for it :)

I'm going to participate in another challenge in July which is a 31 day challenge, but of course I'm still going to finish this one. I'm not that good at posting day after day, I need my own schedule but I want to try this and see how long I will last ;)

Step Into Summer Challenge - 3D

I had a really tough time finding inspiration for this one, I don't have any 3D nail decorations so I didn't know what to do. Someone in the Hobby Polish Bloggers group on Facebook had the same problem and asked for suggestions, she got tons of answers, someone suggested textured polishes and I jumped for it!

My only two textured polishes OPI - Stay The Night and OPI - Magazine Cover Mouse.

The gradient isn't perfect but I like it! I found it a little hard to do a gradient with textured polishes and the cleanup was almost painful, I got a little frustrated with it... >.<

So three down, five to go, I have to step up my game!!

I went and ordered some 3D nail decorations and was hoping to get them before I decided to use the textured polishes, the irony is that while I was typing this post I hear the delivery man putting my package with the stuff through my mail hatch (do you say hatch?).

Well off to smell the grass!!

I did a mani on my friend the other day, she has much bigger nails than I so it was weird to not have to swipe off the excess polish on the brush before I paint the nails.

Of course I lectured her on cuticle care ;) :p
It's not often I paint other's people's nails but I think it went pretty well :)
It lasted without major chipping almost a week! Now I'm thinking I must be a Champion Clutz in nail chipping because without fail I've chipped my polish the next day... I should get a medallion for this! :p
Well it gives me a reason to paint my nails more often.

Step Into Summer Challenge - Neon

My camera and I where NOT on the same page with this mani.

I almost decided to skip the neon part of the challenge I was so frustrated with this.

These are all NEON colors, they are all so much more vibrant. I used two neon pinks in this and one looks so dull and the other is much more dark thank it actually is.

After messing around with my camera this is the closest I could get but still doesn't do it justice.

Polishes used: OPI - Alpine Snow, BK polishes nr. 02 - 17 - 19. Hot Pink Skull polish I don't know the name of.

Actorspotting in Stargate Vol. 2

No nothing nail related today. I'm going to try to have not only nail polish related posts, they will probably mostly be about geeky stuff and cats or whatever I'm obsessed with at the moment.
So I hope I'm not scaring the nail polish lovers away. o.O

Plays both Ken Tanaka in Glee and also Chow in True Blood.

Was in both Stargate SG-1 as a Jaffa Commander and in Stargate Atlantis as some villager.

If I remember correctly he died.. Both times...

I will always see her as the cute girl in Firefly so it was a little difficult to see her play another role, but I got used to it.


And lets not forget Jason Momoa who plays in Stargate Atlantis, hunk of all hunks, he is quite prone to be shirtless (I'm not complaining).
People know him probably better as Kahl Drogo in Game Of Thrones or as Conan The Barbarian.

Omnomnom... >.< He is so cute and cuddly in Stargate, compared to the other hunks he plays.

I was thinking of making more posts like this, I start to watch some series and I get obsessed!! I'm almost finished with Stargate Universe, its a lot different from SG-1 and Atlantis and a lot more depressing but I still like it, if you just don't compare it to the original then you're fine. I get a little lost after finishing a really great series and sometimes I have to "mourn" for a few days until I find something else.
So series I intend to watch after Stargate:
Supernatural
Star Trek (from beginning)
Fringe
Torchwood
those are on my list at the moment.

Then I used all the same darker polishes as I used on my other hand.

This took a while but I'm pretty happy with the outcome and I plan to do all the themes in this challenge.

Summer Lovin Swap

I'm a little late with this post as the reveal day was the 1st.
I swapped with Liz from Lizlovesmakeupx3 and here are my goodies.

There are many goodies there that you can't even get in Iceland.

I already tried the Milani eyeshadow primer and it works so well!!

And the mascara is fantastic and the tube is so PINK!!!
