31DC2014 Day 4 - Green Nails

When I was looking through the photos I took to decide which to use I got frustrated because my pinky has a posing problem, always out of focus or bent a little different than the other fingers.
I had an "accident" back in January, I was trying to be faster than my cat to close the front door before he got out, but as he was in front of me I decided to jump over him and at the door but my left hand got in the way and crashed all wrong on the door corner. It was painful and with a pinky swollen like a thumb I went to the emergency room where they told me that at least it wasn't broken but ever since then I sometimes get throbs of pain in my pinky and I can't seem to be able to move it as much as I did before, hence the frustration, I bet the people at the emergency room where laughing their asses of when I went out, I probably sounded like a crazy catlady... "So this happened because of your cat?"

I searched Pinterest for inspiration and thought this would be fun to do, have never done this before and I was extremely happy with the result.
Kiwis - the fruit - not the birds ;)

31DC2014 Day 3 - Yellow Nails

When I post like this day after day I get a little stuck with words, so I'll just skip to the manicure.
I'm quite happy with this combo, it has a spark to it I think.

Polishes used:
OPI - I Just Can't Cope-abacana
OPI - Turn On The Haute Light

31DC2014 Day 2 - Orange Nails

Day two.
I had fun doing these orange slices but I don't very much like the color orange, especially on me, it does strange things to my skin tone.

Polishes used:
Kleancolor - Sangria Burst
Kleancolor - Mango
The Body Shop - Frosting Fancy

I realized when I was reading the post from last year that I have acquired a few oranges this past year, last year I had only 2 orange polishes and now... Well... A few more ;)

31DC2014 Day 1 - Red Nails

This has been overwhelmingly busy summer for me and I kind of fell out of doing my nails and blogging about it, but now I'm going to try to start again and to kick start my nail painting 'mojo' I'm going to participate in a nail art challenge, I also took part in it last year and had a great time.
FAQ and other info on the challenge can be found here.

So the first day starts with red. I made cute little ladybugs.

Polishes used:
OPI - Red Hot Rio
The New Black - Black striping bottle
OPI - Alpine Snow

Simple Colorblock

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a colorblock but nothing else came to mind when I was deciding the name of this post, but I can promise you it's easy as pie.

Polishes used:
OPI - Taupe-less Beach
OPI - Toucan Do It If You Try

Maybe I'm posting too many photographs of this simple manicure but I liked them all and didn't want to disappoint them by not posting them all, sounds legit? I think so.

Alanna Renee - Avada Kedavra Swatches

I wasn't going to post these photos, wasn't happy with them, my nails and cuticles weren't in a good condition that day and I felt that I could do better with my had poses.
But then I decided that it didn't matter, so here they are ;)

Avada Kedavra by Alanna Renee
These are 3 coats, I had trouble with getting the big glitters out as you may notice, only one or two on each nail. The pictures do not quite capture the color correctly, its a little more luminescent, little less neon.

It's gorgeous, don't you think?

Reverse Half Moons

Hi, remember me?
Hope so! It's been a while, school is finally over and the summer is on it's way.

The reason I haven't been blogging lately was partly because of school and partly because I felt a little uninspired and just didn't feel like painting my nails, so because of that I decided to take a little break from it rather than push myself into doing something I'd rather not be doing, this is first and foremost my hobby and shouldn't feel like a chore. I'm hoping now that school is over I'll again be able to have fun paining my nails.

Anyway, on to the nails!!
Of course I had no sunshine when taking these, the first one is in natural light, the rest are taken under lamplight so you can see all the holographic goodness ;)

Polishes used:
A-England - Rose Bower
Jade - Magia
