Step Into Summer Challenge - Ice Cream

The sun has been my best friend lately and it's really hot, so my main food source 

these days is ice cream :p

So here is strawberry ice cream with caramel sauce.

I've gotten a nice tan out of this and it looks like someone has splashed freckles all over my face :p

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 17 AND Step Into Summer Challenge - Gradient

Today I'm combining challenges.

This gradient isn't all that summer-y, I had this on last weekend.

The clean up was pure pain and at some point I just gave up.

Step Into Summer Challenge - Inspired by a Bathing Suit

Inspired by my bikini, it's bright pink with white polka dots!

Polishes used: OPI - Alpine Snow and a pink polish in a skull shaped bottle, doesn't have any name.

I've been meaning for a long time to do nail art inspired by my bathing suit so when I saw it in the challenge I gladly went for it :)

I'm going to participate in another challenge in July which is a 31 day challenge, but of course I'm still going to finish this one. I'm not that good at posting day after day, I need my own schedule but I want to try this and see how long I will last ;)

Step Into Summer Challenge - 3D

I had a really tough time finding inspiration for this one, I don't have any 3D nail decorations so I didn't know what to do. Someone in the Hobby Polish Bloggers group on Facebook had the same problem and asked for suggestions, she got tons of answers, someone suggested textured polishes and I jumped for it!

My only two textured polishes OPI - Stay The Night and OPI - Magazine Cover Mouse.

The gradient isn't perfect but I like it! I found it a little hard to do a gradient with textured polishes and the cleanup was almost painful, I got a little frustrated with it... >.<

So three down, five to go, I have to step up my game!!

I went and ordered some 3D nail decorations and was hoping to get them before I decided to use the textured polishes, the irony is that while I was typing this post I hear the delivery man putting my package with the stuff through my mail hatch (do you say hatch?).

Well off to smell the grass!!

Step Into Summer Challenge - Neon

My camera and I where NOT on the same page with this mani.

I almost decided to skip the neon part of the challenge I was so frustrated with this.

These are all NEON colors, they are all so much more vibrant. I used two neon pinks in this and one looks so dull and the other is much more dark thank it actually is.

After messing around with my camera this is the closest I could get but still doesn't do it justice.

Polishes used: OPI - Alpine Snow, BK polishes nr. 02 - 17 - 19. Hot Pink Skull polish I don't know the name of.

Then I used all the same darker polishes as I used on my other hand.

This took a while but I'm pretty happy with the outcome and I plan to do all the themes in this challenge.
